Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
